Dr Hugh Allen
Respiratory, Sleep and General Paediatrician
Dr Allen is a respiratory and sleep physician. He also does general paediatrics and allergy management. He offers services such as allergy testing and pulmonary lung function test.He works with the paediatric sleep study units at Sydney Adventist Hospital and Sydney Children's hospital,Randwick for performing paediatric sleep studies. Both these Sleep Centres now offer a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic intervention sleep studies for children.
Dr Hugh Allen graduated from the University of Sydney in 1979 and completed his fellowship in 1985 . He has been a fully qualified paediatric sleep physician since 1987 through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has worked both in rural and outback NSW. He is currently a Visiting Medical officer at the Royal North Shore Hospital and has worked there for the last 25 years.
Dr Jacqueline Dalby Payne
Dr Dalby-Payne is a General Paediatrician with a special interest in the assessment and management of children with medical and behavioural feeding difficulties. She works closely with paediatric speech pathologists and dieticians in managing children with complex feeding problems and failure to thrive. Together with the Feeding Teams at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Royal North Shore, Dr Dalby-Payne manages children being weaned from long-term nasogastric and gastrostomy tube feeding.
In addition to her special interest in feeding, Dr Dalby-Payne is skilled in the assessment and management of all common paediatric conditions including learning difficulties and ADHD. She will work with parents, school counsellors, teachers, educational psychologists and child development services to assess and manage children with learning difficulties, ADHD, pervasive developmental disorder and global developmental delay. Dr Dalby-Payne is able to offer Telehealth consultations to children outside the Sydney metropolitan area after their initial consultation in the St Leonards rooms.
Dr Dalby-Payne has admitting rights to both The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospital. Her inpatient work consists of the care of children with acute paediatric problems admitted through the Emergency Department as well as the care of children with chronic and complex medical problems.

Dr James Thomas

Dr Thomas is a consultant general paediatrician, practicing in this role since 2005, having completed his training at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He has VMO positions at Royal North Shore Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital.
In his practice, Dr Thomas sees children from newborn to 18 years of age. While he sees a broad range of general paediatric issues, he has a special interest in developmental delays and disorders, behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, attentional disorders / ADHD, problems with growth, weight gain and nutrition, toileting issues, and bowel/ bladder problems. He will work closely with parents, school staff, psychologists and other allied health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for the children he sees. Dr Thomas previously worked in private suites at Artarmon.

Dr Alexandra Johnson
Dr Alexandra Johnson is a consultant in Paediatric Neurology with a particular interest in Epilepsy, EEG, Headache and Neurodevelopment. She graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 2002. She trained in Paediatric Neurology at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and Children’s Hospital at Westmead, completing her training in 2011. In 2010 Alexandra was the winner of the NSW Royal Australasian College of Physicians Trainee Research Presentations Award and in 2011 she was the trainee representative of the Australian and New Zealand Child Neurology Society. Alexandra is currently working as a locum in the Neuromuscular Team at Sydney Children’s Hospital, whilst undertaking a Masters of Research in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy.
Dr Kim Ramjan

Dr Kim Ramjan is a Paediatric Endocrinologist and Staff Specialist at the Royal North Shore and Gosford Hospitals (Type 1 diabetes clinic). She completed a BSc and MBChB at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand and a Diploma of Child Health during her paediatric training.
Kim trained in paediatric endocrinology at the Institute of Endocrinology and Diabetes at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She has clinical interests in obesity and insulin resistance, puberty, growth and thyroid disorders in children and adolescents.
Kim is completing a PhD through the University of Sydney investigating the effect of a novel form of resistance training in the management of overweight adolescents with insulin resistance. She continues to be involved in mentorship and training of medical students and junior doctors as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the Sydney Medical School.
Dr Sondhya Ghedia

Dr Sondhya Ghedia obtained her medical degree from the Sydney University in 1995.
She trained in paediatrics at the Sydney Children’s Hospital before subspecialising in Clinical Genetics, training at both the Sydney Children’s Hopsital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Dr Ghedia works as a general geneticist, seeing both adult and paediatrics patients. She has a special interst in inherited cardiac diseases, connective tissue diseases and is experienced in prenatal genetics, as well as dysmorphology and the genetics of developmental delay.
Dr Catherine Jonas

Sleep and General Paediatrician
Dr Catherine Jonas is a Consultant Paediatrician and a Paediatric Sleep Physician. In addition to general childhood medical conditions, she has special interest in obstructive sleep apnoea, insomnia and various non-respiratory sleep disorders. She completed her medical degree in India. She got trained in General Paediatrics as well as Sleep Medicine in the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. As a Conjoint Lecturer with UNSW, she was actively involved in training undergraduate medical students. She is interested in medical research studies and has presented her research work in several national and international conferences. She can do home-based oximetry download and arrange sleep studies through Sydney Adventist Hospital.
She is a mother of two teenage boys, and enjoys travelling, cooking and gardening.
